Rayway (Monk Team Build) [Merged]
THIS IS HOW YOU WIN PVE AND STILL RETAIN YOUR BADNESS. REMEMBER YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST.
Needed:
3 Monk Heroes
1 Terrible Player who goes afk alot and doesn't pay attention to PvE
ION CANNON
Builds:
Your build: Whatever you want, snares are good
ION CANNON 1
Monk / Elementalist
[Copy [Ion 1;OwYT0GHD5xnhXp+ukuo1v6jMAA]
ION CANNON 2
Monk / Elementalist
[Copy [Ion 2;OwYT423CxxnhXp+axAi1v6jMAA]
ION CANNON 3
Monk / Elementalist
[Copy [Ion 3;OwYT423Cxxn5Sur1jAi1v6jMAA]
Notes: These can be changed around to your liking. The general premise is to have absurd amounts of healing and prot, along with passive defense and damage from smiting skills. Oh, and you have 3 big ass ION CANNONS which will destroy everything in your way. You can also be a pussy and bring a mm.
IONCANNON has the best animation in the game, making it better than any other build.
P.S. When you blow shit up, you have to scream ION CANNONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

The lack of Smiter's Boon worries me.
I also run Divine Boon - thus removing the need for point in Healing.
Pretty much - first build times 3 - drop GoLE and DH for the above skills.
PS would be sweet though.

If you're going to roll a player in PvE with RoJ, Slap on Smiter's boon. other then that, I would definitly throw in Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom. It will vastly increast the rate of which you can absolutely destroy things :P

Wisdom, not Honor. It will decrease your recharge time resulting in more kills, good find.

I was using the following:
[build prof Mo/any box Smite=12+1+1 Diving=12+1][ray of judgment][bane signet][castigation signet][signet of rage][smiter's boon][reversal of damage][smite hex][smite condition][/build]
Three of these mostly. Feel free to drop smiteX for [protective spirit, splinter weapon, aegis or whatever you want but I havent felt a sharp need for that especially when they can keep you hexless and conditionless with this setup much better and deal damage from that as well. Three banes signets are amazing lol when you knocklock stuff.
[smiters boon] is just amazing heal of RoD.
Tank usually works out nice but not needed, I usually afk...well, I always afk.

Changed the bars to reflect changes I saw necessary. With new bars, I rolled through a couple of VQs and a dungeon or two. If it's a caster light area, no other form of backline is necessary. Oh yeah, this works incredibly well with an Urf Shaker or Dragon Stomper.

I just played my smiter char for the first time since the update and gave him the updated RoJ. Wow! I can hardly wait to see what happens when three monks fire that thing off! If it does as well as I suspect, it looks like my Sabway team can go into retirement.

Out of the all of the builds posted in this thread and the PvX ones, Super Igor's full smite version definitely worked the best for me.

6 Ray of Judgment Heros
Hi guys,
Im looking for an build for 2 players and 6 heros using Ray of Judgment since it rock hard. My first thought were something about this:
Smiter I
[build prof=Mo/Me smi=12 div=10 ins=8][ray of judgment][castigation signet][reversal of damage][smite condition][heavens delight][divine healing][smiters boon][power drain][/build]
Smiter II
[build prof=Mo/Me smi=12 div=10 ins=8][ray of judgment][castigation signet][reversal of damage][smite hex][heavens delight][divine healing][smiters boon][power drain][/build]
Prot I
[build prof=Mo/E pro=10 smi=12 div=8][ray of judgment][castigation signet][judges intervention][smite condition][smiters boon][protective spirit][aegis][glyph of lesser energy][/build]
Prot II
[build prof=Mo/E pro=10 smi=12 div=8][ray of judgment][castigation signet][reversal of damage][smite hex][smiters boon][shield of absorption][aegis][glyph of lesser energy][/build]
Heal I
[build prof=Mo/Rt hea=10 smi=12 div=8][ray of judgment][castigation signet][divine intervention][smite condition][healing whisper][signet of rejuvenation][patient spirit][death pact signet][/build]
Heal II
[build prof=Mo/Rt hea=10 smi=12 div=8][ray of judgment][castigation signet][reversal of damage][smite hex][healing whisper][signet of rejuvenation][patient spirit][death pact signet][/build]
I think its better to replace the Prot monks for N/Mo to solve energy problems, or it can replaced by an Ele/Mo with wards or something. For players, Standart of Windson is just sweet, they´re on fire too

i would take out prot 1 and heal 1. e/mo - WoF + an AoE KD like earthquake ---- e/mo - AoE snare (deep freeze/ice spikes) to cc the targets and lock then down while still having 6 RoJ. plus wards relieve pressure from those who arent caught in the RoJ.
looks like a fun build, tell me if it works out for you.

Im happy to see a new "cookie cutter" build. I know that its probably not called a cookie cutter yet, but neither was discordway right when it was discovered. Same goes for Sabway.
I will look forward to trying out this build just so see what the potential is. i remember Shards of Orr at first used to give me sooo much trouble, but i imagine that Monkeyway would make it foolproof.
and you are 1 hero off from being able to have constant [aegis] chain.
The only thing im worried about is the 30 second recharge on the primary damaging skill.

If you are referring to the 6 RoJ heroes build, that is a 6 heroes build, not a triple heroes build. Unless someone would recommend which 3 of the 6 heroes to take.
It may work in Shards of Orr but I wonder if it would also work well in other tougher places in HM without undead.

Just tried it out in HM and it looks good. Definitely not inferior to sabway or discordway.
One problem is the 2s cast of RoJ which caused the heroes to stand still and get slaughtered by AoE. The other problem is, energy can get a little low.
Other than those, it seems to work well but ....
Look at the 6 heroes thread:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10344663
...taking one of the healer, protector, and smiter would be superior to the build you have. You dont have a healer (this means you have to rely on Mhenlo for all the healing) or a res.

DO heroes actually chain stuff well? I can remember when I was on my paragon the hero paragon would just replace my 'Stand your ground' instead of waiting till mine expired.

Heroes do like to recast enchantments as soon as they run out. So most of the time when [[aegis] runs out, whoever has a charged aegis will go ahead and cast it. The only exception is when 2 or 3 heroes try to cast it at the same time, but that is rare because they are usually casting other spells.
Heroes are pretty mindless when it comes to prots so that is why they are so good with full party prots like [aegis] because they just recast when it runs out. Having 3-4 heros with [[aegis] will give them the opportunity to recast as soon as the enchantment ends.
If you want to help this out, then you can put them on recharge intervals by manually casting [aegis] for each of them at the 10 second intervals which will help keep them casting in that same order.
1. disable [[aegis] on each hero
2. cast [aegis] on first hero
3. wait till it ends and cast on next hero
4. repeat on other heroes and re enable the skills
they should all cast it when it recharges for them which will be at 10 second intervals.
